FASSI Knuckle boom cranes and Marine cranesTadano All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Truck Mounted, Hydraulic Crawler Cranes & Elevated Work PlatformsJEKKO Mini Crawler cranes, Vacuum lifting attachments, material manipulators Marrel HookliftsCormach Knuckle boomsFabercom Radio Remote controlsWe are based in Penrose, Auckland and provide product support to customers throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. We are looking for the expertise of a motivated Crane Technician to work on our customers' cranes and other lifting equipment.
Being part of a team of skilled Crane Technicians and outsourced fabricators and subcontractors, you will liaise with suppliers, customers and other departments to certify and service mobile, knuckle boom and truck mounted cranes from a wide variety of manufacturers.
What this job involves: Servicing and maintaining all variety of mobile cranes and truck loader cranes. Organize, manage and maintain maintenance records. Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults in equipment/vehicles and rectify. Plan work so that it is done efficiently in accordance with industry standards.Ensuring that Allcrane's policies and procedures are adhered to on and off site. Organize and maintain parts and equipment.Liaise with management team and other Allcrane staff for executing duties. Ideally, you will have the following experience: Heavy machinery trade background. Ideally this would be in or related to the crane industry but at least a strong interest in cranes is important. Mechanics with any crane experience will have preference over others in order to assist with keeping our customers mobile lifting equipment maintained and available for work, but it is not a requirement. Ability to ensure pre-COI inspections & service are complete and compliant.Electrical and electronic experience ideally.CAN bus experience would be very useful.Welding & fabrication skills would be an advantage.Aptitude & Skills: Prompt and reliable, with a "can-do" attitude.Great time-management and adaptation skills.Problem-solving and lateral thinking style.Good spatial awareness and ability to read diagrams and schematics.Good written and verbal English communication skills.Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.Demonstrated commitment and ability to work safely.Qualifications: Minimum Diesel Mechanics NZQA Level 4 or equivalent.Clean full NZ driving licence.Technical training certificates from crane brands for models we sell, or similar, would be ideal.Auto electrician or electrical qualification, international qualifications will be accepted.HR (Heavy Rigid) drivers licence would be an advantage.Ability to travel nationally when required, overnight.Physical Requirements: This job requires standing, lifting and being physically fit.Salary: $35 – $40 per hour.
