This role will deliver and maintain an effective, high quality Occupational Therapy Service for Whangarei Hospital, in accordance with the Te Tai Tokerau Strategic Plans.This is a permanent, part time position based at Whangarei Hospital.You will:Act as a highly skilled resource member of the wider team providing advanced clinical consultancy and guidance to occupational therapists and staffDemonstrate advanced knowledge and clinical practice within the area of inpatient and outpatient Occupational TherapyWork holistically with patients, in relation to their complex health, environmental and occupational needsKey requirementsHold a current practicing certificate and registration in NZ as an Occupational TherapistPrevious experience as an Occupational Therapist at a senior levelMinimum 6 years' experience working within the hospital environmentExperience of clinical practice within acute, medical and surgical conditionsCurrent Drivers LicenceFull orientation and ongoing support will be provided to the successful candidate.Along with an interesting wide variety of work to keep you engaged, you will work alongside a supportive and tight knit team with opportunities to gain further knowledge and skills from other health professionals and the teams you work with.A career with Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying a flexible and healthy work-life balance.
