About the role:
Downer have been awarded a new contract to install, maintain and upgrade Sky TV services and are excited to be bolstering our workforce with multiple Telecommunication Technicians opportunities across the country, looking to be employed directly by Downer.
The key areas we are looking for resources currently are Whangarei, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Taranaki, Taupo and the South Island.
This is a full-time, permanent role, 40 hours per week and will be following an incentive/coded pay scheme. There is a minimum retainer amount you are guaranteed to be paid monthly, plus uncapped earning potential under this coded pay scheme.
What kind of work you will be doing:
Installation of set top boxes, satellite dishes, cabling and related equipment at the homes and or premises of customers.
Repair and maintenance.
Collection of surplus equipment and cabling from the premises of commercial customers.
Providing a seamless experience for our customers.
What we are looking for:
Two to three years' experience working with dish and decoder installations with subsequent cabling (Sky TV experience advantageous).
Working at heights qualifications and/or experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
Excellent verbal communication, ability to relate to people at all levels and ensure positive relationships with customers are created and upheld.
A customer service disposition exemplified in-person and utilising multimodal methods.
