Head Chef Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. You'll have extensive culinary experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

As Head Chef, you'll oversee food preparation, manage costs, organize prep work, create menus, and lead your team.

You'll work closely with our management team to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes
  2. Manage food and labor costs within budget
  3. Organize prep work, inventory, and ordering
  4. Create and maintain menus that appeal to our customers
  5. Collaborate with the management team to drive business growth
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
  2. Strong culinary skills and knowledge of New Zealand cuisine
  3. Excellent leadership and communication skills
  4. Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  5. Familiarity with food safety and health regulations

$60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)
