About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to join the dynamic team at The One Restaurant & Bar in Christchurch Central Canterbury. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the overall success of the business.
What you'll be doing
Manage a team of servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience
Oversee inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting to maximise profitability
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and build brand loyalty
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages employee engagement and development
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
Liaise with the executive team to align the restaurant's operations with the overall business strategy
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (2+ years) in a similar restaurant and bar management role
Strong leadership and people management skills to effectively motivate and develop a team
Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to deliver exceptional dining experiences
Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive business growth
Thorough understanding of the hospitality industry and compliance requirements
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
