Civil Litigation Solicitor

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

A highly regarded and expanding civil litigation team is seeking a Solicitor to join its supportive and dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and challenging caseload, representing independent business owners, retail tenants, major property developers, and private clients across both commercial and residential sectors.

The Role:
  1. Handling a varied caseload, including landlord and tenant disputes, real property litigation, and contractual disagreements, with supervision as needed.
  2. Delivering clear and strategic legal advice on a range of property-related disputes.
  3. Drafting and preparing legal correspondence, court submissions, and supporting documents.
  4. Collaborating with courts, barristers, expert witnesses, and external professionals, instructing counsel when required.
  5. Representing clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  6. Assisting in the mentorship and development of junior colleagues, including trainees, paralegals, and support staff.
  7. Contributing to business development efforts, helping to enhance the firm’s growing reputation in property litigation.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. NQ – 2 years PQE with experience in civil litigation.
  2. Confidence in managing a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team.
  3. Strong technical expertise in landlord and tenant law, real property disputes, and general commercial litigation.
  4. Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  5. A meticulous approach, ensuring high-quality legal work and attention to detail.
  6. Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
  7. Proficiency in IT and case management systems.
  8. A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a desire to help develop the firm’s property litigation practice through networking and business development.
