Bay Veterinary Group Limited have Veterinary clinics in Whakatane, Edgecumbe and Kawerau. We are a mixed practice servicing both large and small animals. Our team of 14 Vets and 24 Support Staff enjoy caring for animals with Empathy and Expertise in a fun and supportive environment. Our Vision is to Provide Best Practice Service and Care for Customers and Animals in the Eastern Bay.
The clinics provides care of companion animals in a modern and clean environment and sales of everything our clients need to keep their pets healthy and happy. We also provide Farm calls and large animal products in our Edgecumbe Clinic.
Our busy Clinics are seeking casual Receptionists and Nurses to join our team. Hours are varied, as required, to cover our current teams leave. 
Our ideal candidates will be qualified and/or experienced Veterinary Nurses and Receptionists but if you are mature and love animals, please apply, as full training and support will be given.

Qualifications & experience Excellent Customer Service and Sales skills.Love of Animals and experienced in their care.Can work well in a team and bring a sense of fun to the job.Empathetic.Enjoys a busy and sometimes demanding job.Good level of physical fitness.Veterinary Nursing Tasks & Responsibilities include Admission and discharge of animals before and after surgery.Animal Care and monitoring while in our hospital.Set up I/V drips.Assisting with surgery and anesthetic monitoring.Assisting with X-rays.Injecting medication.Nail Clipping.GroomingDispensing medication.Suture removal.Laboratory testing of samples. Reception Tasks & Responsibilities includeAnswering the phone to deal with client enquiries and make appointments.Greet client and their pets when they come in for their appointment.Use our Vision Scheduling system and software program to maintain a manageable workflow in our busy clinic.Advice and sales of animal products including flea and worm control, pet food, toys, treats and accessories.Receiving payment of invoices.Set up new clients on our software system.Help with stock control and monitoring.
