Wai Hospitality Group in Queenstown proudly operates Public Kitchen and Bar, Finz Seafood and Grill, and Bella Cucina, three magnificent restaurants in Queenstown, collectively known as Wai Hospitality Group. We require Sous Chefs who genuinely care and want to join an amazing team to deliver memorable experiences for the guests. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years kitchen experience or a formal culinary qualification with 1 year as a chef in a restaurant kitchen. Tasks and Responsibilities Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per the restaurant's standards. Helping the head chef to develop and cost new dishes. Using programs; Loaded and Chomp to achieve costs and efficiencies. Assisting in writing rosters and contributing to kitchen wage KPI's. Monitoring portion and waste control, and correct storage of goods to help maintain profit margins. Training kitchen staff. Communicating with other kitchen staff and the restaurant team. Ensuring the customers experience the best the restaurant has to offer. Managing prep lists, ordering, stock takes, and cost of goods KPI's. We offer: $32 to $35 per hour depending on experience. Minimum of 30 hours per week, rostered shifts. Staff meal & drink after each shift. Discounts when dining at Wai venues. Professional development and opportunities for growth.
