We are a strong community school that places an emphasis on building healthy relationships with every girl. Our four guiding pou are:Whai ako – learning cultureTGHS is a state day and boarding school catering for girls from Y9–13. 15% of our students declare themselves as Maori, and our Pasifika community makes up 7% of our student roll.The school is situated in the heart of Timaru, an attractive city of 48,400 people, on the east coast of the South Island about half-way between Christchurch and Dunedin.
