This is a full-time, permanent position starting on 28 January 2025.Glendowie College is a highly successful co-educational college with a student roll of 1,200 students. We have excellent academic results, an emphasis on pastoral care, and high levels of student engagement in co-curricular and service activities.The college strongly promotes its vision of ‘a community empowering ākonga to experience success, ready to embrace their future’ through its values of whānau (we are family), manaaki (we encourage mana through respect and caring), hiranga (we strive for excellence), and kaha (we are strong).We seek a passionate educational leader with a track record of innovation and initiative wanting to progress in their career. An educator who builds collaborative relationships with staff and students, as this is important to the school culture.You will have demonstrated leadership in your school at middle or senior leadership. You will have a full knowledge of current educational theory and best practice and be able to develop this with our staff and students.The position requires a person who has an in-depth understanding of pedagogy and curriculum requirements. Knowledge of the I.B. Middle Years Programme would be an advantage but not a requirement.
