Selection Criteria 1.
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and age-appropriate literacy programs that cater to diverse student needs, particularly within a rural or regional school setting.

Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum with an ability to align literacy programming to meet curriculum standards and school-specific goals.
3.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills , with the ability to work effectively with school staff, Committees of Management, and other MARC/MACC teachers to enhance student learning and resource access.
4.
Proven experience in managing and maintaining educational resources in a mobile setting, ensuring the availability of quality materials to support literacy development across multiple schools.
5.
Commitment to fostering positive learning environments that promote a love of reading and contribute to improved engagement and educational outcomes for students in small, rural communities.
Role Position Overview: The MARC (Mobile Area Resource Centre) Van Teacher will deliver a dynamic literacy-focused program to a network of small rural schools in South-West Victoria, including Panmure Primary School, Cudgee Primary School, Grasmere Primary School, Woolsthorpe Primary School, Noorat Primary School, and Nullawarre Primary School.
This role is essential in providing students with access to an extensive range of texts and resources, fostering engagement, and supporting literacy education across multiple-year levels.
As a MARC teacher, you will work collaboratively with the serviced schools to develop and deliver engaging programs that enhance learning outcomes and promote a love for reading and literacy.
This role requires a motivated educator committed to making a significant impact in rural communities by providing high-quality literacy experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver a comprehensive literacy program tailored to the needs of each school and its students, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
Provide equitable access to quality literacy resources, supporting diverse learning needs across schools.
Collaborate with school staff and Committees of Management (CoM) to design and implement literacy programs that align with each school's goals and priorities.
Promote a love of reading through engaging activities and resource sharing to support student engagement and literacy skill development.
Participate actively in collaborative learning communities within and across MARC school clusters to continually improve program delivery and outcomes.
Maintain the MARC Van library resources, ensuring up-to-date and relevant materials are available for each serviced school.
Program Overview: The MARC Program was developed to support small rural and regional schools by providing specialized literacy and art programs.
The MARC Van focuses on delivering a high-quality, literacy-based program.
Through the MARC Van, students in South-West Victoria gain access to a wide array of texts, literacy resources, and curriculum-aligned programs designed to improve engagement and learning outcomes.
MARC services support schools in achieving fair and equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities tailored to the needs of their students.
Responsibilities The role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to: Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students; Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school; Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal; Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions; Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
Who May Apply Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
