Guidance Counsellor

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Guidance Counsellor
We are seeking an experienced guidance counsellor to support our students and work collaboratively as an integral part of the wider pastoral team.
Our ideal candidate will:
Hold a current membership or provisional status with NZAC or similar professional body
Be a registered teacher with a current practicing certificate (desirable)
Have proven school counselling experience working with young people and their whanau/family within a school context
Instinctively promote emotional and mental wellbeing, self-confidence, and resilience among students and staff
Build and maintain strong relationships with external support agencies
Be a lifelong learner, always seeking to improve yourself both personally and professionally
Counsel students Y7 through to Y13.
