Our Parks and Recreation unit are looking for a Parks Labourer to join our team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. If you think this could be you - let's talk.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for working outdoors and is looking for a full-time position.
For this role you must have:
A current Class 2 New Zealand Driver's License.
Experience in parks maintenance, general maintenance, and handyperson activities.
About the role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday – Sunday.
This is a hands-on role, involving the general maintenance of our facilities and assets, parks, and infrastructure including playgrounds.
You'll need to be an energetic and hard-working team player who isn't afraid to muck in and get their hands dirty.
Physical fitness and the ability to remain calm under pressure are vital.
You will have to be able to demonstrate knowledge in building and general handyman tasks.
You'll be a team player, with the ability to work independently and complete all allocated tasks on time.
The role will involve manual handling/labouring tasks, operating equipment associated with relevant maintenance tasks such as hand tools, power tools, water blasters, concrete cutters, etc.
