Job Opportunity: 2nd Engineer for FV Thomas Harrison Currently, we have the opportunity for an experienced 2nd Engineer for FV Thomas Harrison. This is a Fresher Fishing Vessel with trip lengths of 2-4 weeks on and 2-4 weeks off. Responsibilities: Manage the mechanical and electrical performance of the vessel's propulsion, fishing, processing, and ancillary systems in a safe and efficient manner. Work independently with excellent problem-solving skills. Commit to preventative maintenance systems. Requirements: Minimum of MEC 6 or 5 qualification. Proven engineering experience on deep-sea fishing vessels. Ability to work in a small, close-knit team. Positive can-do attitude, teamwork, safety focus, and the ability to follow instructions and rules. The hours worked are generally done in shifts of 12 hours. PPE and tools are supplied, and all meals are provided by our experienced cook.
