Senior Strategic Sourcing and Category ManagerThe Senior Strategic Sourcing and Category Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within an assigned portfolio of indirect sourcing categories, which include labour hire & logistics, and a NZ country lead to assist with other indirect categories of goods and services as required. This is a full time permanent position based in Auckland.Group Procurement operates a shared services model with a focus on providing specialist services across Downer's business units in an integrated, responsive and efficient manner. The Senior Strategic Sourcing and Category Manager is a key advisor and reports to the Group Manager Strategic Sourcing - Category Management. This integral role forms part of the Group Procurement leadership team, collectively responsible for delivering a best-in-class procurement function for a large, diverse and complex organisation.Specific responsibilities include:Development of category strategiesIdentification of cost saving opportunitiesFacilitating and leading sourcing projectsManagement of spend dataEstablishment and maintenance of supplier relationshipsQualifications and experiencePreferably, Post Graduate studies in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply ChainTertiary qualified in a Business/Commercial related degreeExperience in a large working environment is ideal5 to 7 years experience in a Procurement Category/Contracts/Commercial role in Temp Labour/Labour Hire sourcing and Logistics categoryGood communication, presentation, and influencing skillsAbility to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder groupsAbility to drive change across the business*** Please Note: Applications will not be accepted by email.Downer Group is an employer that acknowledges and embraces the importance of our people's diverse experiences, talents, and cultures.
