Ko ta matou mahi – Our Role The Operations Manager – Events and Venues will report through to the North Island Manager – Events and Venues and hold a key leadership position in supporting the planning, management and delivery of events and conferencing. This role will provide outstanding service to our clients and work in partnership to ensure the highest level of delivery and customer service.  This role will be based out of our Head Office in Auckland city.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for events, including risk assessments, emergency response strategies and crowd control measures. Full oversight of event day operations, delivery and team managementEnsure compliance with local laws, safety regulations and event-specific security protocols Conduct post-event evaluations, including incident reports, to ensure continuous improvement of event delivery servicesStakeholder Engagement, attending all event-related meetings serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and ensuring active participation and representation with key stakeholdersPrepare and manage budgets and costs, ensuring adherence to financial parameters and timely reporting as requiredIdentify recruitment and training requirements, supporting of the process and ensuring compliance Nga pumanawatanga ou – What you will bring Demonstrated experience within Operational ManagementEvent Industry experience or similarHolds, or has the ability to get, a Certificate of Approval (COA)Demonstrated experience in Security Management, preferably within the event or entertainment industryStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee large teams in fast-paced environmentsFamiliarity with crowd management strategies, emergency response protocols and local safety regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, staff and inter-agency partnersCurrent full NZ Drivers LicenseExcellent computer literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, databases, and event software) Nou te rourou – What's in it for you Competitive salary and opportunity to work alongside NZ leading events and venues specialists Company vehicle, laptop, phoneAccess to a suite of employee benefits Join us and leverage your skills in a role where you'll make a significant impact, driving business success and contributing to a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction. Apply today to take the next step in your career with a company that values your expertise and dedication to excellence.
