Job Description
Life at Fulton Hogan is about making the most of opportunities, taking responsibility, and making it happen. We appreciate our peoples' courage, curiosity and unique perspectives, and look to collaborate as much as possible to explore safer, smarter and more efficient ways of working in this rapidly changing world. We don't stand still – there are always opportunities to do more and do better.
What's on offer?
We have an opportunity for an experienced Group Network and Systems Engineer to join our IT team based in Australia and contribute toward the implementation of IT infrastructure across site offices within Australia, as well as supporting BAU IT operations within the Fulton Hogan group.
Reporting to the AU Network Systems Manager, you will be required to build and foster critical relationships with operational, corporate, and IT teams across Australia and New Zealand.
The key elements of this role will enable you to plan, design, implement, support, and maintain IT network and communications infrastructure across a number of regions and sites within Australia.
You will work alongside an IT team that supports the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure and business systems. You will work with both internal subject matter experts and external partners that work closely together as a virtual team, to deliver the right network outcomes for the Fulton Hogan Group.
Responsibilities
Conducting onsite visits (Scheduled/Unscheduled) to provide direct support where required.
Review and analyse improvements to existing IS/IT Infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Troubleshooting performance issues by providing technical and advisory support.
Creating and maintaining high-quality documentation and record keeping.
Ensure that all set SLA times for incident and problem resolution are met along with maintaining and improving customer satisfaction levels: Onsite and/or Remote.
There is flexibility for the position to be based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane. There are elements of interstate and occasional travel to New Zealand to conduct onsite visits and provide direct support where needed.
How will you connect to the role?
You will, ideally, hold a degree or equivalent in IT, science or engineering from a recognised University or tertiary provider and possess advanced knowledge and experience with LANs, WANs, Network Switch Infrastructure and Wireless Technologies. Your ability to provide support to the Windows Server and Windows Workstation environments, sound knowledge of Active Directory and a good understanding of Network Firewalls will set you up for success in the role. Holding a valid driver's licence, vehicle and Construction Induction (White Card) accreditation is critical in this role.
Even though this is an opportunity to demonstrate your technical capability and expertise by delivering positive outcomes and driving continuous improvement within the business, this position will also enable you to demonstrate strengths in leadership, communication, conflict resolution and time management.
In return, you will be part of a team where our 'Good Work' culture will encourage you to take ownership and have empowerment. We are continuously working towards creating a diverse, inclusive and enjoyable workplace where collaboration and productivity thrive. If this aligns with your vision of a working environment you would like to be a part of, then this is a brilliant opportunity for you to consider.
Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone. If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you're not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that's okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.
For 90 years, Fulton Hogan has been delivering high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people every day. Our 10,000+ team works in every kind of weather and environment, creating, connecting, and caring for communities across Australia and New Zealand.
We celebrate and embrace diversity across our business and are committed to equal employment opportunities.
We believe in the value that diversity brings to our team and people who share our REAL values are encouraged to apply.
