Working within the Infrastructure Team, the Development Engineers provide advice and support to development projects across the district.Tasks and Responsibilities Undertaking assessment of resource and building consents.Ensuring public infrastructure assets are designed and built in accordance with Council's engineering standards and policies before being vested in Council.Providing professional advice to applicants regarding engineering issues to achieve workable solutions. Skills and ExperienceYou will have a good understanding of how development engineering fits into the processing of resource consents under the Resource Management Act, including knowledge of geotechnical and traffic engineering, as well as: Experience working in a local authority.Relevant tertiary Engineering qualification e.g. BE Civil, B. Technology, NZCE Civil or NZ Dip. Eng.Understanding of roads, water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering requirements.Experience and knowledge in roading and drainage construction projects.Working knowledge of NZS3910: Condition of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction. You will have a great work ethic and the ability to develop and maintain sound professional relationships.
