Are you looking for a change where you can use your skills to make a difference for students who have learning disadvantages? We are looking to appoint a RTLB to join the Nga Manu Aroha, working across the 30 schools in the Mangere-Otahuhu area. In Nga Manu Aroha you would be part of a great team of 25 RTLB. The team is passionate in the work they do supporting students in Y1-10. You will work with teachers and students to provide that extra bit of difference in a responsive learning support environment, which builds on inclusive practices. A key aspect of the role is to work collaboratively with teachers, whanau, and their students. We would welcome applications from teachers who are already RTLBs or from teachers who have a depth of experience in New Zealand schools. It is likely you will have strong literacy and/or numeracy skills, and you may hold some leadership or mentoring roles in your current school. The successful applicant must hold a full NZ Teachers Registration and have the right to work in New Zealand. You must also hold a Degree so that you are able to meet the entry requirements for the Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching. A driver's licence and the use of your own vehicle is also a requirement of the position.
