Description: We are looking for an additional part-time mechanical maintenance person to join our team at 91 Umukuri Road Riwaka.
The role is expected to be approximately 20 hours per week.
You'll assist our mechanic in maintaining our extensive vehicles fleet that includes tractors, vans, utes, and associated implements including airblast sprayers and other orchard machinery.
General mechanical or tool skills to help us maintain property, plant and equipment will be very useful.
We are after someone who thrives on a varied workload, who ideally knows orchards and has experience as a mechanic, fitter, welder etc.You may be asked to work some Saturday mornings and may be available for longer hours during our busy harvest months.Skills & experience:Proven mechanical experienceExcellent time management and communication skillsStrong safety knowledgeRequirements: You need to have a current, full Driver's License.
All applicants will need to have photo ID and proof they are legally entitled to work in NZ.The successful applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package.Fairfield Orchards Ltd is a progressive horticultural operation specialising in pip-fruit and kiwifruit with properties around the Riwaka and Motueka area.
Our integrated operation ensures that growing, cool storage, and packaging are performed onsite.
