Scottfresh are intensive growers of vegetable and fresh cut salad crops based in Coastal North Canterbury. The focus for this role will be around the harvest and post harvest of our vegetables. This is for someone who will thrive on being part of a team to harvest a magnificent crop. As a family business, Scottfresh takes great pride in developing people, not just growing fantastic crops.Job Location: Spotswood & Claverley, North Canterbury, South Island, New ZealandHours of work: 45-60 hours per week (minimum guarantee of 30 hours per week)What this Role would offer: A lot of variation in duties and the training to go with it.Training, promotion, and further responsibility.Work in a fantastic coastal location right beside the sea.Year-round work with no big peaks or troughs of hours.The Role (subject to variation depending on the ideal candidate): Work with the crop manager to provide Broccoli and Lettuce forecasts.Co-ordinating harvest teams and plans.Ensure that all harvest team members adhere to health and safety principles.Carry out practical training and track individual team members' training needs/levels.Work closely with the dispatch team and owner regarding stock volumes, market orders, and market quality specifications.Understand the workings of all harvest machinery and equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
