Fluid Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent multidisciplinary organization offering services both in New Zealand & abroad. They are looking for an experienced Survey Technician to join their Christchurch team. They will be hitting the ground running working on a mixture of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. This role and organisation will provide you with the opportunity to be apart of a medium-sized consultancy with a tight knit team while still allowing you to work on international projects.

You will have Diploma or degree in surveying, geospatial sciences, or a related field. Proficiency in surveying techniques and equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collection software. Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Demonstrated track record as a survey technician, with a combination of office & site-based experience. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain. Exceptional analytical skills, adept at problem-solving and decision-making. The role You will be instrumental in assisting our surveying and geospatial teams in collecting accurate data, producing detailed maps, and driving the success of various regional projects. Flexible working environment Key responsibilities include: Conduct field surveys using the latest surveying equipment and technology to collect precise data on land, structures, and infrastructure. Assist in processing and managing survey data, including the use of industry-standard software and tools for data analysis. Work closely with planners, engineers, and other team members to provide essential surveying support for a wide range of projects. Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to foster positive relationships and ensure project success.
