Turf Technician

About the Role A rare opportunity has become available in our sports team for a Turf Technician. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of turf maintenance and renovations including aeration, scarifying, seeding, and sand topdressing utilizing small and larger tractors.
This role would suit someone who has previous experience. We can also support you to achieve your Sports Turf Certificate and provide ongoing development if this is of interest to you. This role is ideal for someone who can self-manage, is reliable and takes pride in a job well done.
What you will be doing? • All aspects of turf renovations including aeration, scarifying, seeding, sand topdressing utilizing small and larger tractors.
• Turf repairs on sportsfields including repairs and turfing.
• Irrigation work repairs and maintenance.
• Mowing covering for staff that are away, so the opportunity to upskill.
• Linemarking sportsfields – how to set out a field, athletics track etc from scratch.
About You • A Full New Zealand driver's license – Manual. Class 2 preferred but not essential as training can be provided
• Are committed to delivering consistently high-quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and committed to getting the job done.
• Are conscientious toward keeping everyone updated.
• Reliable and always on time for work.
• Flexibility to work additional hours to complete scheduled work.
