General Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our team at Newsham Park Medical Centre in Pukekohe East, Auckland. This is a long-term position, offering the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive medical practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to a diverse patient population
2. Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions
3. Conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
4. Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with patients
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
6. Referring patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed
7. Participating in practice meetings and continuing medical education activities
8. Adhering to all relevant medical and regulatory standards and guidelines
9. Option to upskill in minor procedures like skin cancer and family planning

What we're looking for

1. A medical degree and valid relevant Medical Council of New Zealand registration
2. Strong clinical skills and the ability to make accurate diagnoses
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach
4. Strong time management and organisational abilities
5. A commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
6. Experience working in a primary care or community-based healthcare setting
