With a grassroots approach and a renowned ability to innovate, Thriving Southland empowers catchment groups to adapt and drive change, strengthening the primary sector across the region.As the catchment group network in Southland expands, we are looking to grow our on-the-ground team. We are seeking an additional Catchment Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term position, starting in late July 2024. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside dedicated groups, communities, and a passionate team. You'll have the chance to contribute to innovative projects and initiatives that shape the future of catchment groups and more Skills and attributes necessary for success in this role include:Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) with confidence presenting to groupsStrong relationship management skillsEffective time management with the ability to prioritiseConfident user of technologyKnowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Tikanga MaoriGood primary industry networksUnderstanding of environmental change managementKnowledge of farm systems / agronomics together with farming knowledge and experience is preferred.
