We have a roll of around 1300, and with further building works underway, the roll is expected to increase in the next few years. We provide students with a caring and supportive environment to help them achieve academic excellence, leadership skills, and a love of learning.The roleWe are seeking a Caretaker to join our team to support the smooth running, safety, and efficiency of our school. Working proactively, the successful applicant will perform a key role in ensuring the safety, presentation, maintenance, and general condition of the buildings, facilities, grounds, garden, and environment at Hillmorton High School | Te Kura Tuarua o Horomaka.The hours of work are 16 hours per week, to be worked over two days (8 hours per day), 52 weeks per year (entitlement to annual leave and public holidays). Hours of work are specific to requirements; flexibility to hours is negotiable. Conditions and remuneration are as per the Caretakers and Cleaners Collective Agreement.We are looking for someone who is:ReliableFit and active, to manage the physical nature of this roleLoves to work outdoors and assist with the maintenance of garden and groundsA problem solver, with attention to detailA successful police check is a condition of employment.
