Position: Chef Company: Singh Brothers Merchant Limited T/A Spice King Indian Takeaway Type: Full time, permanent Location: Kaikohe Position Available: 2 Positions Minimum Working Hours: Guaranteed 30 hours per week. Pay & Benefits: $25 per hour.   Qualification/Experience – Minimum 1 year experience OR any bachelor's degree Qualification. Ongoing training provided, if required.   Key requirements: Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Creativity and the ability to develop new dishes. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work weekends and holidays.   Key Responsibilities of the role: ·         planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies ·         Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts. ·         monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. ·         may freeze and preserve foods. ·         Develop and create new menu items. ·         Manage inventory and order supplies as needed. ·         Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner. ·         Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. ·         Train and supervise kitchen staff. ·         Ensure compliance with food safety regulations. ·         Collaborate with restaurant management to develop strategies for improving the overall dining experience.
