Job DescriptionAbout the Role
Reporting to the Plant Quality & H&S Manager, we are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team at our Asmuss manufacturing site in Hamilton. You will provide quality assurance service and support to production areas and external clients including preparing polyethylene weld and pressure test samples.
Key Accountabilities Managing all aspects of testing, documentation and reporting within the testing facilityCoordinating quality control of the plant, including manufacturing inspections, outside contractors, equipment calibration, supplier quality management, in-house and external laboratory testing, laboratory consumables, external accreditations, third-party inspections, internal and external auditsMaintaining and improving the quality system, ensuring all required standards and accreditations are complied withCompleting relevant quality audits & inspectionsLiaising with management on all major aspects of quality controlCoordinating product certifications in line with Asmuss and Customer requirementsConducting regular in-house inspections to ensure product quality is maintained to the required standards, documenting, and reporting findingsSupporting the Plant Quality & H&S Manager to manage the corrective and preventive action systemCollaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure all customer complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective mannerTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Previous experience with quality assurance/testing in a manufacturing environmentPrevious experience in HDPE pipe manufacture and testing requirements of AS/NZS 4130 desirableProficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical skillsA high level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a teamCommitment to Health & SafetyStrong work ethic and reliabilityHours of Work: 7.30am – 4.00pm, Monday – Friday.
