Chinese Pastry Cook

We are looking for two dedicated Chinese Pastry Cooks in our restaurant based in Rangiora. We operate over 7 days so your job will be rostered and flexibility is must. You will be offered 30 -45 hours a week with competitive rate of $29.66 at minimum.  Track record of reliability and consistent performance essential. Applicants must have either a relevant qualification or at least a couple of years' experience. The successful applicant will have great support from an experienced management team.     Main responsibilities include: Ensure the cleanliness of equipment and premises Responsible for ensuring the complaince of safety and health regulations for the pastry cook staff Check the quality of raw materials and weigh ingredients Knead, ripen, cut, shape, mix and mould dough and pastry products Prepare pastry fillings Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times Coordinate the moulding, loading, baking, unloading, demoulding and cooling of bread, rolls and pastry products Glaze and decorate bread and pastries Operate machines for kneading and shaping dough and cutting pastry  Train other junior staff for pastry and bakery knowledge Assign work to other pastry staff to ensure the smooth delivery of the pastry products       If this sounds like you apply now with your CV and cover letter explaining why you are the best fit for the position.
