Head Sawdoctor

As Head Sawdoctor you will report to the Engineering Co-ordinator. In your role you will be responsible for the efficient day to day saw doctoring operations and general maintenance of the Saw Shop. The tasks for your role will mean you will be required to actively plan, facilitate and supervise work to ensure that all saws are repaired, sharpened and finished to a high quality in accordance with Saw Shop specifications and best practice standards to guarantee reliability and availability of saws in the Sawmill. We have one position available. This position is a permanent full-time position, minimum 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. There is no weekend work required. Offered salary is a minimum of $88,000 and a maximum of $103,000. About us Our Otago site is a modern sawmilling facility based in Milburn (approximately 40mins south of Dunedin and 20mins north of Balclutha) producing kiln dried appearance grade lumber for domestic and export markets.
