Job Description About UsAt Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region. About the roleAs a Registered Nurse in our PACU unit, you will provide general anaesthetic, local anaesthetic and monitored sedation recovery to patients both adult and paediatric as well as discharge to surgical wards and DOSA. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care, identifying potential medical complications and providing interventions, treatments and therapies. Your practice will be in line with the code of conduct and professional boundaries of the nursing professional body.We have two full-time positions available, located at Wakefield Hospital, Newtown, Wellington. Desired Skills and Experience About youYou will be professional, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have excellent communication skills and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients. You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences: Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council APC Demonstrated nursing experience in a surgical/medical setting preferred Experience in a similar unit is an advantage Committed to continuous quality improvement and personal development Leading through our valuesWe are a values-driven organisation.
