Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dental Officer to join our busy Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team in Auckland.
Te Toka Tumai Auckland's Regional Hospital & Specialist Dentistry (HSD) service is located across multiple sites - Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, Middlemore Hospital, Waitakere Hospital, Starship Children's Hospital, and Buckland Road Community Dental Clinic.
In this role, you will work as part of a clinical team of dentists and dental specialists providing hospital-based secondary and tertiary level oral health services for patients living in the greater Auckland area.
Your focus will be on providing dental care for patients of all ages in outpatient and 'virtual' clinics, as well as operating room settings.
This includes undertaking initial assessments (FSA), developing diagnoses, problem lists and management plans, providing clinical care, and undertaking recall and review as required.
This is your chance to join a well-supported multi-disciplinary team, with opportunities for involvement in research projects.
You will also be responsible for providing advice and training to support staff.
This is a permanent full-time role working 50 hours per week.

Nga Pukenga Motuhake | Important Skills As an ideal candidate, you will be a qualified dental professional with current registration and an Annual Practice Certificate with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
You will have: At least 2 years post-graduation clinical experience providing clinical care in a hospital setting.
Demonstrated ability to participate in and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to health care provision.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Competence in technical, measuring, and computer skills.
