Pedersen Kawerau Ltd, working as a partner to Oji FS at the Tasman Mill, manages the Log yard, Chip mill, Chip Piles, and ancillary services.
Two vacancies have arisen at the Company's operation in the Log yard for 2 Plant Operators, operating a number of pieces of plant including Pivot Loaders and Sennebogen 830 Material Handlers.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous experience and current competency in operating a Wheeled Excavator with log grapple or similar equipment. Previous experience in operating a wheeled loader with log forks is desirable.
The role is a shift position, and the successful applicant must be prepared to work a 4 on 4 off roster, covering both Day and Night shifts spanning 7 days a week.
The holding of a class 2 license and W endorsement is required, but applicants who do not have these endorsements but have demonstrated skills should apply, as support for gaining your licenses may be given.
Pedersen's operates a drug and alcohol-free workplace, and the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test, prior to any position being offered.
