You will have advanced project and programme management skills, strategic planning, and the ability to lead a team of project management and business analyst professionals.The Manager of Projects and Strategic Initiatives ensures the delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Additionally, the role involves managing strategic initiatives that drive sustainability, organizational growth, and development, ensuring they are integrated and aligned with the broader strategic direction of Ara.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership roleProven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects and strategic initiatives in a tertiary education or similar environmentStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in project management software and toolsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrategic Thinking and PlanningPMP certification is preferred (but not essential).Ara Institute of Canterbury, a business division of Te Pukenga (Ara), is a vibrant and progressive tertiary institute providing world-class, tertiary-level education throughout the Canterbury and Waitaki region.We accept applications via our online application system.
