This role will be responsible for leading all operations staff to achieve quality service standards and safe work practices. You will also manage our trucking resources effectively to transport customer freight as required in full on time at an acceptable cost to the company.What you'll getA top-class work environment where we put our people first.Amazing opportunities to work overseas within the business.Job security and a structured career growth pathway for all our staff.A national commitment to attaining the highest standards in HSE through best practice.Access to NZ Railways Staff Welfare Trust which offers reimbursement of medical expenses for you and your family and access to discounted holiday homes around NZ.What you'll doEnsure that a superior service is provided to both internal and external customers.Accurate management reporting and a high level of financial results are achieved regarding the utilization of all appropriate resources.Work with all the transport staff to maximize the performance of the business in order to meet and exceed the customer's and company's expectations.Assist the Branch Manager with transport and operations business administration.Dispatching cover.Operate the forklifts loading and unloading the trucks.Assist with deliveries and driving the class 1 vehicles.Unloading line haul units, sorting, checking off freight including parcels.What you'll needExcellent communicative and organisational skills.Knowledge of Transport/Logistics, Marketing and Sales.Minimum of 5 years' experience in Freight operations.Degree/NZCE or other tertiary qualification.Computer and Microsoft Office Skills (Intermediate).In return, we deliver a top-class work environment where we put you first.
