GURBANI KAUR LIMITED T/A The Cut cube professional hair saloon is providing quality haircuts and other services to customers. We are based in Papatoetoe, Auckland. We require 3 (four) Hair Dressers/Barbers to cater for our customer’s needs.
This a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to build their career in hair the dressing and cutting profession. This is a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 30 hours per week at the rate of $29.70 to $32 per hour. The job will be roasted from Monday to Sunday between 9.00 am to 6.00 pm
Responsibilities:

  Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions
  Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ taste.
Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment
Apply a wide range of hair colouring techniques, like highlights, ombre and balayage
Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns
Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection creams and hydrating masks)
Shave and trim beards and moustaches as per customer choice
Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences
Manage bookings and serve walk-ins
Ensure the tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed
Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate
Apply threading as per customer request to remove unwanted hairs
Charge customer and collect payments eg Cash and eftpos handling Skills required
Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths
Knowledge of making Indian styles moustaches and beards to cater for our regular Indian customers
Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
Up-to-date with industry trends
Excellent communication skills
Physical stamina to stand for long hours

Requirement:
NZ Register Level 4 qualification or 3 Year experience in the relevant field
What we are offering:
Permanent Full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week
Depending on your skills, a good pay rate between $29.70 to $32.00 per hour
On-the-job training for 2 weeks will be provided if required
Good working culture and team support
Tea/Coffee during breaks
