Full Time Application Closes 06 Sep 2024 Hawkes Bay - Napier Plumber, Pipefitter and Steamfitter About EIT | Te Pukenga:We are looking for a qualified tradesperson interested in a different career path to join EIT as our Plumbing, Gas Fitting and Drainlaying tutor.With a strong focus on practical, hands-on education, to prepare their students for successful careers in a rapidly evolving workforce you will report to our Head of School Trades and Technology in this role.EIT¦Te Pukenga offers over 150 qualifications from certificate and diploma to degree and postgraduate levels at campuses in Hawke's Bay, Tairawhiti (Gisborne) and Auckland.We want you to experience being part of a vibrant learning community in one of New Zealand's top tertiary institutes.You will be a qualified Plumber with relevant trade qualifications and industry experience in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and/or Drainlaying.Teaching experience is highly desirable but not essential.You will be a problem solver, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.To be successful in this role you must have the ability to Pass a police and work with children check.Your duties will include but are not limited to: Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their growth and skill development.Deliver high-quality classes, workshops, and practical training sessions in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and/or Drainlaying.Provide clearly defined learning within courses.Undertake effective, valid and reliable assessment of students.Participate in the ongoing development of new courses for which we will provide guidance and training.Benefits: Monday to Friday 36 hours per week with no on-call/callouts for tutor roles Subsidised Southern Cross Health Insurance 10 leave days per year for professional development Generous leave conditions Join us in shaping the future of trades education at EIT | Te Pukenga
