This is a full time, 40 hours per week role working in our office in Riccarton, Christchurch, New Zealand. You will work directly helping to improve our products and services as an active member of a team supporting one of Voyager’s key product groups.Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 pa.The purpose of the roles is to:Software Development: Engineering of robust, scalable applications and systems, building prototypes using rapid application development techniques.Applications Support and Operations: Provide operational support for existing applications, such as data/code maintenance, security, software updates, improve application management, deployment and testing through automation.What’s in it for you?This is a great opportunity for you to carve out your dream role by being immersed and exposed to large and complex technology stacks with passionate people while having some fun. You will have at least 2 years' experience as a software developer/engineer and are keen to develop your skills further. You will have Tertiary Level Qualification in Information Technologies or Computing.You will have knowledge, experience, and confidence in the following:Experience with common Internet and web technologiesExperience with web development and scripting languagesExperience with internet, hosting and domain productsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a self-organisation/self-managing mindsetStrong written and verbal communication skillsOne or more programming languages/frameworks:Javascript (Native / Angular 2)PHP (Native / Laravel / Lumen).NET/C#Web servers (Nginx / Apache / HA Proxy)General understanding and ability to use LinuxGit (or other version control)Containers: DockerCI/CDThe internet business and an understanding of telecommunications products and solutionsAgile software development practices (i.e. TDD, DevOps and Scrum)Software development stacks, tools and best practicesAutomated testing tools and best practicesUnderstanding of Financial ConceptsHow to ApplyIf you are excited by the idea of joining us on our voyage, we'd love to hear from you.
