The role/Te mahi
Based at the Dunedin Medical School, working within a diverse and committed team, you will focus on providing administrative support to the newly established Centre for Rural Health. The Centre supports the Otago Medical School's rural health teaching and research activities.
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Centre's Director, Course Directors and academic staff involved with the Rural Postgraduate Programme and work closely with administrators based in Ashburton and Clyde.

We are seeking a proactive customer focused Administrator with excellent communication and relationship building skills who thrives in busy environments. Being a highly organised individual, you will support the facilitation of residential programmes/papers and play a pivotal role in the activities of the Centre. You will work with local and remotely based team members and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Previous experience in a fast-paced complex administration environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with ability to adapt and navigate new systems.
Excellent organisational, time management skills and an attention to detail.
An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for our students, staff, and visitors.
Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.

This is a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours per week) and is located in Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role is $59,285 to $63,651. Top of Range $68,744 (pro rata).
You may be required to work some weekends to support residential programmes, and you will be asked to travel to attend an annual team meeting within New Zealand.
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.
