35 hours per week (Friday – Tuesday)Are you a passionate foodie who knows their way around a café and prides themself on great customer service?Woolworths is a household name providing food for kiwis all over New Zealand and we are proud to cater to those keeping our food chain running through our Café Whanaungatanga located on site at the Palmerston North Distribution Centre.Offering good wholesome meals and cabinet food, the café services both office and distribution staff, as well as catering for on-site functions.In this position you will be carrying out food preparation, basic cooking and reheating, serving customers, keeping the café clean, and closing up at the end of the day.A great opportunity for someone who would enjoy getting to know their customers and keeping them coming back for more.To be successful you will need:• a passion for food and enjoy working with customers to keep them coming back for more• previous experience in food preparation, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene• experience in café and cafeteria style food services• to be friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible• to be confident to work unsupervised and resolve any problems that arise• to be able to operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile, and cash-up at end of shift• great communication skills and a can-do attitude.The ordinary hours of work for this position will be Monday, Tuesday (1.30pm – 8.30pm); Friday (5am – 1.30pm); Saturday, Sunday (5.30am – 1pm).As the site operates two shifts per day Monday to Sunday, the ability to work all shifts across a seven-day roster would be an advantage in order to ensure cover is available within the team when needed.Cater Plus is a company that prides itself on top service and a next-level passion for food.Join our team, made up of over 500 individuals that live our values, and where our people are what truly make this company stand out from the rest.If this sounds like an opportunity for you, apply online now.
