As our Marketing AI Engineer, you'll work hand-in-hand with our Marketing team to build AI solutions that don't just impress Engineers—they solve real business problems that marketers and entrepreneurs face every day. You'll translate complex technical concepts into practical tools that help non-technical people achieve remarkable results, all using the Autohive platform.

Your ability to listen, understand business challenges, and create AI agents that actually deliver will directly influence how companies across New Zealand and globally adopt AI in their operations.

Requirements

What you'll do
  • Bridge worlds – Work directly with marketers, business leaders, and customers to understand their challenges and translate them into AI agents that run on Autohive.
  • Build agents that matter – Develop AI agents that solve real Marketing problems and showcase the practical power of Autohive's platform.
  • Teach and empower – Help non-technical team members and customers understand and leverage AI capabilities.
  • Transform marketing operations – Create AI agents that scale our marketing efforts, proving the value of our own technology.
  • Personalize at scale – Develop AI-driven personalization that makes every customer interaction feel custom-tailored.
  • Show, don't just tell – Create demonstrable AI agents that become powerful case studies for our sales team.
  • Simplify complexity – Turn technical concepts into accessible tools anyone can use.
  • Evolve our platform – Use insights from real customer interactions to improve our core product, such as building tools, functions, and more.
  • Stay ahead of the curve – Apply emerging AI techniques to create competitive advantages for our Marketing team and customers.
  • Tell compelling stories – Work with Marketing to showcase how your AI solutions drive business results.
What you bring
  • Strong Python skills and understanding of machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with AI-driven automation and process optimization.
  • A degree in computer science, data science, AI, or related field.
  • Great communication or education skills – You can explain complex AI concepts to non-technical people.
  • Effective collaborator – You can listen to non-technical stakeholders, understand their needs, and turn business requirements into workable technical solutions.
  • Customer-focused mindset – You care about creating solutions that actually work in the real world.
  • Patience and teaching instinct – You enjoy helping others understand and use AI tools.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach – You can methodically analyze complex challenges, break them down into manageable components, and build comprehensive solutions.
  • Some experience with APIs and third-party integrations (Nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar (Nice-to-have).
