ABOUT THE ROLE: Launching a rocket and operating satellites requires a symphony of multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards mission success. Operations Software helps bring this orchestra together by providing operators with timely, accurate and beautiful presentation of control and system states.
A Senior Engineer on the Operations Software team will be responsible for creation, maintenance, deployment and support of components, functions or services in support of launch vehicle and spacecraft operations.
A Senior Engineer has the scope to perform independent engineering as allocated and may have product ownership as a responsible engineer. Risk, cost or quality-based decisions are escalated or reviewed as part of the workflow from the judgement of the Senior Engineer.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related field.Minimum of 5 years' experience within a related fieldExperience with one of: Redmine, Jira, or other issue trackerC# or Golang DevelopmentDesktop Application DevelopmentEthernet Network ProtocolsTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:  Scrum / KanbanExperience with GitLinux ContainersCloud Application DevelopmentSystem AdministrationCI/CD systemsShared data model definition Python DevelopmentC++ DevelopmentUser Interface DevelopmentDatabase Application DevelopmentHuman Factors EngineeringSalary dependent on experience: between NZD$125,000- NZD$ 170,000
