Project Director/Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director/Manager to lead a $30 million construction project focused on taxiway construction and upgrades at Auckland Airport. This presents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the project from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and maintenance of the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and overall project execution.
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent and other project team members to drive performance and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Project Director/Manager role, preferably in airport construction or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
