Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead our Business Consulting, Development, & Project Delivery Teams. This is a senior position that is a permanent member of our Senior Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP services and a proven track record in managing complex projects, leading teams, and delivering value to our customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a passion for driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the operations team, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Project Governance: Oversee delivery of ERP implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the operations team, fostering professional growth and ensuring high levels of employee engagement and performance.
  • Process Optimisation: Analyse and improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and industry standards in project management and service delivery.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance. Regularly review and report on operational efficiency and project outcomes to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams including industry partners and our customers.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet project demands and company goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a New Zealand citizen.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing commercial delivery of projects, with a focus on ERP services or related technology fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in successful project management and implementation of ERP solutions.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices in the IT services industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation and with customers.
