Traffic Management Specialist

Paul Smith Earthmoving is a premier, earthmoving company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil projects across the South Island.
We're looking for an experienced Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS) to join the traffic team and assist with the planning and delivery of temporary traffic management.
To be successful in this role you are:
Assisting and responsible for the temporary management of road works at various project sites.Performing day to day traffic control activities such as site establishments / disestablishments and monitoring to ensure compliance.Supervising, guiding and mentoring the onsite traffic team to keep traffic running smoothly.Carrying out on-site briefings to advise of hazards, driving and parking requirements and site entry / exit points.Ensuring the site is always in a safe and tidy condition to meet or exceed requirements.Undertaking training as required.The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
Hold a STMS qualificationFull Class 1 (Class 2 preferred)Proven experience in traffic managementBe flexible to work weekends and some night shifts if requiredAbility to work in varying weather conditions and stand for extend periodsHave strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members A positive attitude and willingness to learnReady to hit the ground running and get amongst itAbout us Paul Smith Earthmoving specialises in earthmoving, excavation, demolition, drainage, construction, contaminated site remediation, track and road maintenance, landscaping, rock supply, landfill management, trucking, and transport works.
We employ over 180 permanent staff based throughout our Timaru, Ashburton, Christchurch, Greymouth, Twizel and Central Otago offices. While based permanently in these locations, we also complete projects throughout the South Island.
