Babcock is looking for an Mechanical Engineer/Engineering Technician to join the team based in Devonport, Auckland on a 10-month contract.

About the role

Be part of a high-impact engineering project driving essential technical improvements in the defence sector. We are seeking Supportability Engineers or Engineering Technicians to lead and implement engineering change initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational effectiveness. You will play a key role in assessing, planning, and executing modifications to ensure systems meet evolving operational requirements.

Key Required Qualifications

  • Degree or qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in engineering change processes within defence or complex technical projects.
  • Eligibility for NZSIS Secret Vetting (SV) security clearance.
  • Membership or eligibility for IPENZ, PMI, or relevant professional bodies.
