Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their Gisborne-based team on a permanent basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a region that has been shaped by recent environmental challenges.

The Role:

You’ll work within a national civil engineering team, delivering local and national projects, primarily in the infrastructure and commercial sectors. As an intermediate or senior civil engineer, you will have a key involvement in project delivery, design, site supervision, contract management, client liaison, and mentorship of junior engineers.

This company is a well-respected name throughout Gisborne and is looking for candidates who are interested in laying roots down within the region. There is ample room for growth and development within the business, alongside a flexible working policy that can be adjusted to suit the lifestyle of the east coast

Key Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • At least 5+ years’ experience within a NZ consulting environment
  • CPEng (Chartered Professional Engineer) is advantageous but not mandatory. Support can be offered for you to work towards this.
  • Able to demonstrate a variety of project complexity across the commercial and infrastructure sectors
  • Prior experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment with a specific understanding of Structural & Geotechnical services
  • Client focused with exceptional communication skills
  • Confident decision maker and the ability to think outside the box.
