About us:
The Supported Life Style Hauraki Trust takes a unique approach to providing support services for people with disabilities in our community. As part of the team here, you'll be helping to achieve our mission to support Life Stylers to live their best possible lives. We work hard to be the chosen disability service by providing a collective foundation that promotes a sense of belonging, support, and trust to each Life Styler. This means they can be as independent as possible in all aspects of life. To do this, we ensure the Life Styler's needs are met physically, psychologically, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and culturally.
What does a Support Worker do?
As part of a wider team, you will assist our Life Stylers to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our Life Stylers to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support.
Responsibilities can be varied, and you will follow a support plan, which may include some or all of the below:
Community outings and integration
Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
Home management
Meal preparation

You will earn between $23.38 - $29.10 per hour, depending on experience and qualification.
About You:
Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do
Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable, although not essential
Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
Have a full NZ driver's licence
You must possess the right to work in New Zealand and a willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks in order to be considered for this position.
