Job Opportunity: Game Development Manager – Poverty Bay Rugby Football UnionDo you have a passion for rugby and your community? Are you ready to put in the hours and effort, especially during the peak rugby season in winter, to drive engagement, participation, and success across all levels of the game? Poverty Bay Rugby Football Union is looking for someone just like youThis role isn't just about administration—it's about building the future of rugby in Poverty Bay. You'll be leading the charge to support Coach, Referee, and Player development, overseeing representative teams, and driving participation in schools and senior rugby. It's a hands-on role that requires energy, a desire to make a real impact, and a commitment to working with all clubs and schools to strengthen rugby within our region.Key Responsibilities:Build strong, healthy relationships with rugby clubs, schools, and key stakeholdersLead efforts to grow engagement and participation in rugby at all levelsProvide leadership or support for the development of coaches, referees, and playersEnsure the smooth administration of representative teams and rugby competitionsContribute to the strategic direction of PBRFU and NZ Rugby initiativesWho We're Looking For:Passionate advocate for the rugby community, thriving during busy periodsPreferred experience in Sports Administration or ManagementStrong teamwork and leadership skillsStrategic planner with a focus on long-term growthExcellent communication with clubs, schools, and stakeholdersProven organisational and time management abilitiesHardworking, trustworthy, and integrity-drivenCustomer-focused approach to delivering rugby experiencesWhy Join Us?Be part of an organisation dedicated to growing rugby and fostering community spiritMake a lasting impact on the future of rugby in Poverty BayFlexible working environment where work/life balance is valuedWork in a supportive, dynamic environment where your passion for the sport will thriveTo be considered, you must have a clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions and Police Vetting check.
