Production Operator/Slicing Operator - Quality Bakers AucklandGoodman Fielder New Zealand is one of the largest branded food manufacturers and suppliers in New Zealand, serving customer needs with a portfolio of iconic, trusted food brands that New Zealanders have grown up with and enjoy every day. Our excellent portfolio of consumer brands includes Vogel's, Molenberg, Freya's, Meadow Fresh and Puhoi Valley.We are currently looking for machine operators/bakers to join us full time at our East Tamaki site. This position is an integral member of the Baking and Production team and makes a strong contribution to a high performing Production team and team culture within Baking, while performing the duties of preparing, baking and packaging bread products to the standards required. Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be required to train, supervise and lead initiatives within the production environment and have a sound understanding of business systems.Key accountabilities of the role include:Ensure all equipment is operated according to site standardsCommunicate all issues with equipment immediately to the Team LeaderActively maintain Food Safety, GMP, cleaning and hygiene standards, including corrective actions from audits and non-conformance reportsDevelop strong relationships with internal customers (Contractors) by producing to plan accuratelyComplete all Online quality checks and relevant production checklistsTrain other production staffShift Pattern Available:Sunday - 7.00am - 7.15pmMonday - 7.00am - 7.15pmTuesday - 7.00am - 7.15pmAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will need:Baking experience desirable - ideally within a manufacturing environmentMachine Operating experience (desirable)Food industry experience (desirable)Strong literacy and numeracy skillsStrong knowledge of work health and safety with demonstrated experience in previous workplacesTo learn more about this career opportunity or to apply online, please click Apply and you will be taken to our careers page.
